A Long Island story

The James opened in Garden City in July, taking over the former Primehouse space and bringing the popular Babylon restaurant west into Nassau County. Owners Andrew Affa and Steve Squitiro, who also run Arlo Kitchen & Bar in Northport, said from the start that lunch was part of the plan.

The location makes sense. It sits on Franklin Avenue just south of Mineola, close to NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island, Nassau County government offices, the courthouse complex and county police headquarters. That is a lot of people looking for a real lunch.

The roughly 130-seat dining room runs the same menu and look as the Babylon original. Think fresh pastas, seafood, raw bar and prime dry-aged steaks.

Client meeting, birthday lunch, or just a Friday that deserves better than a desk salad. You know where to go.
