Bellmore, dig out the binders. The Replay Sports Cards Bellmore opening date is set: the grand opening is Saturday, Nov. 21, at 2156 Bellmore Ave.
It’s the national chain’s first shop on Long Island, and it’s run by a hometown guy. Rob Ansalone grew up hitting card shows with his dad, spent 15 years in insurance, and is now turning the hobby into his full-time job.

Ansalone also wants to teach young collectors how to judge a card’s condition, look up its value and work a trade. And yes, he’d love for some athletes to stop by.
A Long Island story
Ansalone got back into cards during the pandemic, picking up LeBron, Kobe, Mahomes and Brady rookies. Now his son Dominic collects, and his youngest, Vincent, rips WWE packs. One of Replay’s founders, Mike Martin, is from Bellmore too.
His goal is simple. He wants Replay to be “the local spot that kids are excited to ride their bikes to.” Through Replay Gives Back, he plans to team up with youth leagues, PTAs and charities to get cards into more kids’ hands.
We’ll see you on the 21st. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
