Long Island, clear your calendar and loosen your belt.
Long Island Restaurant Week is back Sunday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 8, and this one’s a birthday party. The promotion first launched in fall 2006, which makes this 20 years.
For eight days, restaurants across Nassau and Suffolk serve fixed-price lunch and dinner menus. Perfect excuse to try somewhere new or go back to your favorite.

A Long Island story
Dinner menus need at least three choices per course: appetizer, entrée and dessert. On Saturdays, restaurants can stop the special menus after 7 p.m., so book early.
It’s not just about eating, either. Over two decades, organizers say Restaurant Week has donated more than $40,000 to Long Island food banks and charities, including more than $10,000 to The INN.
The full restaurant list keeps growing as Nov. 1 gets closer. Check the Long Island Restaurant Week website, and keep it locked to WLIT.FM for our picks.
