Long Island, your night out just got a lot more interesting.

Three new spots are changing how the Island drinks. One is all about the martini. One is so exclusive you won’t even find the address. And one hands you the tap.

Quick facts
Magnolias, Bay Shore
Open. 52 E. Main St., from the Great South Bay Brewery team. Closed Mondays.
Bull Moose, Oyster Bay
Open, members only. $5,000 one-time initiation plus $1,200 a year, covering a member and spouse.
Tapster, Patchogue
Coming soon. 48 W. Main St., 50+ self-pour taps, priced by the ounce.

Magnolias: the martini is the star

The folks behind Great South Bay Brewery opened Magnolias in the former King’s Chophouse space in fall 2025. Think New York City cocktail bar on Main Street: classic martinis, a raw bar and eclectic small plates.

Bull Moose: the secret room

Lush Life Hospitality Group’s new lounge on the North Shore keeps its exact location private. Members get crafted cocktails, curated wines and spirits, and private events. The group calls it “a second home for those who prefer their luxury unspoken.”

Tapster: the bar without a bartender

Tapster takes over the old Long Island Pinball space downtown. You check in, get a card linked to your credit card, and pour your own beer, wine, cider or seltzer by the ounce, from about 30 to 80 cents an ounce. It’s run by a Ronkonkoma mother-daughter team, Allison and Megan Dee, and it will be the biggest Tapster yet, with swing seats and room for 171.

A Long Island story

Bay Shore, Oyster Bay and Patchogue keep proving you don’t need the LIRR to have a great night. Pick your vibe.

We’ll share Tapster’s opening date here and on air as soon as it’s announced. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
