The famous 11

  • Wayne Manor, Glen Cove. Stevenson Taylor Hall at Webb Institute played Bruce Wayne’s home in 1995’s “Batman Forever.” Yes, Batman had a Long Island address.
  • The Barone houses, Merrick. The “Everybody Loves Raymond” homes really do sit across the street from each other.
  • Westbury House, Old Westbury. Hitchcock used it in “North by Northwest,” and it has hosted “Love Story,” “Cruel Intentions” and “Hitch.”
  • The Money Pit, Lattingtown. The exterior of the house that fell apart on Tom Hanks.
  • The Byrnes house, Old Brookville. Where Ben Stiller sweated through “Meet the Parents.”
  • Susan’s dream house, Port Washington. The Derby Road home from the ending of 1947’s “Miracle on 34th Street.”
  • The Larrabee estate, Glen Cove. Salutation House starred inside and out in 1995’s “Sabrina.”
  • Grey Gardens, East Hampton. The Beales’ mansion was practically a lead character in the 1975 documentary.
  • Erica Barry’s beach house, Southampton. The Meadow Lane exterior from “Something’s Gotta Give.” The interiors were sets.
  • Jordan Belfort’s homes, Old Brookville and Sands Point. Both used in “The Wolf of Wall Street.”
  • The Amityville house, Amityville. It inspired the 1979 horror classic, but the movie was actually shot in Toms River, N.J.

A Long Island story

Hollywood keeps coming back because Long Island has it all: grand estates, ocean views and classic suburban streets. Webb Institute even screened “Batman Forever” inside Stevenson Taylor Hall for Glen Cove’s 350th anniversary in 2018.

Most of these are private homes, so admire from the road and be respectful.
