Patchogue, your burgers are coming home.
Burgerology is gearing up to reopen in the village, less than two years after leaving. The new spot is the former Spycoast Kitchen space on West Main Street, and it’s expected to open by the beginning of November.
Owner Eddie Galatoulas says he always planned to come back. “It was our number one place,” he told Greater Long Island.
- What
- Burgerology reopening in Patchogue
- Where
- 76 W. Main St., Patchogue (former Spycoast Kitchen)

- Expected by the beginning of November
- New on the menu

Family first, game on
The old location on Railroad Avenue had drifted toward a nightclub crowd, and Galatoulas didn’t love it. This time the vibe is fun and family-friendly. There will still be a bar, plus football and UFC fights on the screens.
You vote with your fork
The big new idea is the “Experiment” menu. Every couple of months, Burgerology drops six or seven new items. The hits stay. The misses disappear.
Galatoulas is especially proud of the cheesesteak, and he’s ready to put it up against any other on Long Island. Then there’s the Lava Cake Shake: vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup and chocolate crunchies, crowned with a cookie lava cake and five-layer chocolate cake.
A Long Island story
Burgerology is a homegrown family brand, run out of Bellmore. Patchogue makes six Long Island locations, joining Stony Brook, Farmingdale, Rockville Centre, Huntington and Massapequa, plus one in Midtown Manhattan. Next up could be New Jersey and Westchester.
We’ll share the opening date here and on air as soon as it’s announced. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
