A Long Island story

The menu pulls from Patricia’s Dominican roots, James’ Italian background and the skills of longtime Watershed chef Jorge Aparacio. Three floors: a main dining room and bar, a second floor for private parties, and a basement cocktail lounge on the way.

The building itself dates to 1905 and was once home to Henry H. Preston, Suffolk County’s first salaried sheriff.

And the name? It’s their Yorkie, Abigayle. James swears she was never his dog, yet he’s the one carrying her everywhere in a little pouch.

A restaurant named after the family dog? That’s peak Long Island. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
