Long Island, Christmas came early. Hilary Duff made sure of it.

Duff dropped Holiday Things on Friday, a brand new five-song Christmas EP. She teased it on Instagram two days earlier with a simple line: “I guess Christmas came early.” She was not kidding.

Back to Santa Claus Lane

Three of the five songs are Duff originals. The other two are classics: the Judy Garland standard “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and a fresh take on Wham!’s “Last Christmas.”

That last one is a full-circle moment. Duff first covered “Last Christmas” on Santa Claus Lane, her 2002 holiday album. That record soundtracked a lot of Long Island childhood Decembers. Now the kids who wore it out are grown up, and she is singing it to them again, almost 25 years later.

The comeback keeps rolling

This is not a one-off. Holiday Things caps a huge year for Duff. In February she released luck… or something, her first studio album in more than a decade. This month she also put out “CATastrophe” from The Cat in the Hat soundtrack.

She is still on the road, too. The Lucky Me Tour has been extended through November 2027, with 32 new dates added across the U.S., Europe and Latin America.

So go ahead and start the holiday playlist before Halloween. Hilary said it’s fine.

We’ll share any New York area tour dates here as soon as they’re announced. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
