Tate McRae didn’t just perform at the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She took it over.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, the Canadian pop star performed her new single “Housewife” in full, working the catwalk in a red-hot lingerie set with a crew of backup dancers dressed in matching crimson. Then came the moment everyone is replaying: Gigi Hadid stepped out at the end of the song and strutted side by side with Tate down the runway.

And she was just getting started. Tate followed “Housewife” with “Dear God” from her 2025 album So Close to What, complete with a sharp dance break, then closed with her hit “Sports Car,” slipping on her own pair of angel wings for the final walk. Her set came after Megan Moroney, with KATSEYE and Megan Thee Stallion performing later in the show.

The song behind the moment

“Housewife” is Tate’s first new music since So Close to What, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The video is pure luxury: Tate dances through a mansion, a yacht and sun-soaked landscapes, and at one point pushes a baby carriage stuffed with cash.

She teased it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, telling Fallon the song is “kind of about a woman who can’t be contained.” She added, “We shot it in the south of France, and it was so magical and so fun.”

Eagle-eyed fans had a clue months ago. Tate told Fallon the word “Housewife” appeared on screen at the start of her Lollapalooza headlining set in Chicago back in August.

A big night for the show, too

This was the third straight year Victoria’s Secret has staged its fashion show since returning from a six-year break, first with a pre-taped version in 2023 and then the full live show in 2024.
