It started slow, with a three-minute scoring drought. Then Collin O’Connor, back for his first game since last November, went coast to coast for a step-back jumper and the Seawolves never looked back.

Jaden Daughtry brought the energy with a steal-and-slam late in the first half, then helped spark a 9-0 run into the break. Stony Brook stretched it to 16-0 after halftime, with Bryan Ndjonga throwing down his second dunk of the night.

A Long Island story

Lots of new faces got their first points as Seawolves, including Morris Ugusuk, Leonardo Van Elswyk, Ndjonga and Kingston Price. Kasen Daeger checked in for his college debut and hit two threes to push the lead to exactly 50.

Now the real test: a Power 4 road trip to Evanston on Friday. Go Seawolves. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
