It’s barely November. Mariah has already said it’s time. Now Olivia Rodrigo is getting in on Christmas.
Olivia announced her first-ever holiday song on Monday. It’s called “take me home (4 christmas),” and it drops this Thursday night.
The song is about “the excitement and nerves of spending the holidays with someone you love,” according to her webstore. She wrote it with Dan Nigro and Amy Allen, and Nigro produced it. Same team, new season.

Christmas season is officially open
Mariah Carey kicked things off on Sunday with her yearly “It’s time!” video, then followed it with a new holiday ad for Gucci set to “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
That song has spent 22 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. Olivia isn’t trying to beat it. She’s just pulling up a chair.
It caps a huge year for her. Her third album, “you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,” came out in June and gave her a No. 1 with “Drop Dead.” Her “expectations” remix with Chappell Roan went to No. 3 in October.
Thursday at 8, hit play. Then tell us: does a new Christmas song get a spot on your holiday playlist this early? Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
