Long Island, the robots are going plastic.
Daft Punk and LEGO made it official on Thursday: a full partnership that brings Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo into the LEGO universe as minifigures. Product, content and brand experiences are all part of the deal.
The headline for fans? The pyramid stage from Daft Punk’s 2007 Alive tour is on its way to becoming a real LEGO set.
- What
- An official LEGO Group and Daft Punk partnership, plus a LEGO set of the Alive 2007 pyramid stage
- Announced
- Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026, from LEGO HQ in Billund, Denmark
- Watch
- A launch film of the minifigures building their way to a brick-built DJ console, set to “Voyager” and “Human After All”
- The set
- Started as a fan design on LEGO Ideas. Release date and price not announced yet
It started with a dad and his son
The set began as a lockdown project. A father and son from Luxembourg built the pyramid stage out of bricks and posted it to LEGO Ideas, where fans submit and vote on designs. It won the Grand Prize in LEGO’s “Music to Our Ears” challenge in 2020, then cleared 10,000 supporters.
“We never dared imagine it would take off in this way,” said Patrick Harboun, the dad behind the design.
The tease was sneaky, too. On Oct. 21, Daft Punk’s WDPK 83.7 radio stream signed off with a 30-second clip of a red 2×4 brick, shot from behind so its three tubes looked like speaker woofers.
Why the Island cares
Daft Punk split in 2021, but “One More Time” and “Get Lucky” still pack every dance floor from Montauk to the city line. LEGO says this is “just the beginning,” with more events and content planned across music and culture.
We’ll share the set’s release date and price here as soon as they’re announced. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
