Long Island, Martin Garrix is stepping out from behind the decks.
The Dutch DJ announced his third studio album, MARTY, at a Spotify pop-up show that kicked off Amsterdam Dance Event this week. He calls it his first pop album. And the guest list is wild: U2, Ed Sheeran and Spanish pop star Aitana.
- Album
- MARTY, 14 tracks
- Out
- Friday, March 5, 2027, on STMPD RCRDS and Darkroom Records
- Guests
- U2 (“Fireflies”), Ed Sheeran (“Repeat It”), Aitana, plus David Guetta and Afrojack (“Our Time”)
- Out now
- “This Dream Of You,” with Garrix on lead vocals
That’s his voice
The big change? Garrix sings. He takes lead vocals on four tracks, including “Catharina” and the new single “This Dream Of You.” Bono even helped write on the record.
The title goes all the way back. Before he was Martin Garrix, he played as DJ Marty, with the slogan “Party with DJ Marty.” The album is named for that kid.
The Aitana track is his first song in Spanish. He tested it on a crowd in Mexico City on Oct. 16, before anyone knew what it was.
Why the Island cares
“Animals,” “Scared to Be Lonely,” “In the Name of Love.” Garrix has soundtracked a decade of nights out from Huntington to Long Beach. Now he wants the radio, too. With U2 and Ed Sheeran in his corner, he might get it.
