Lake Grove, steak night just got closer.
LongHorn Steakhouse is moving into the former Bahama Breeze building at Smith Haven Mall. A mall spokesperson confirmed the plan to Greater Long Island.

Bahama Breeze closed there in May 2025 after more than a decade at the mall. It was the chain’s only Long Island spot. Crews started demo and renovation work on the building late this summer.
Same family, new menu. Darden Restaurants owns both brands, plus Olive Garden, Yard House and The Capital Grille.
A Long Island story
Right now, Suffolk’s LongHorn fans have to drive to Farmingdale. Soon it’s a quick stop after a mall run on Middle Country Road.
A big empty building coming back to life is always a win for the neighborhood.
