Harry Styles went back to where it all started. In the middle of Madison Square Garden.

Friday night was Harryween, show 29 of his 30-night “Together, Together” residency at MSG. Harry opened dressed as Elvis Presley: white sequined jumpsuit, blue satin-lined cape, gold sunglasses.

Then came the twist. He changed into the exact look from his 2010 X Factor audition. Grey cardigan, white T-shirt, yellow scarf, brown khakis and an audition number pinned to his chest.

And he sang “Isn’t She Lovely,” the Stevie Wonder song that got him through to the next round at 16. He even told the crowd, “I work in a bakery,” the line he gave the judges back then.

Harryween is back

Costume covers have been a Harryween tradition since 2021. He’s done Dorothy singing “Over the Rainbow” and a clown version of Britney Spears’ “Toxic.”

This year the whole stage got in on it. His band and dancers dressed as different eras of Harry, from Coachella to the Grammys to the Met Gala. Riley Keough, Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, was spotted in the crowd.

Fun footnote: footage released in 2022 shows his real audition opened with Train’s “Hey, Soul Sister.” He sang the Stevie Wonder song a cappella after Simon Cowell asked to hear him without a track.

One night left

Tonight is the 30th and final show of the run, on Halloween. Next up, Harry heads to Australia, then North America and Europe in 2027.

If you’ve got a ticket and an LIRR seat to Penn, wear the costume. Everyone else, we’ll have Harry in rotation all weekend. Keep it locked to WLIT.FM.
