Bay Shore's beloved spot, The Linwood Restaurant & Cocktails at 150 E. Main St., has announced that Saturday, March 29, will mark its final day of operations—at least under its current name.

But don't worry: the team isn't going far. The Linwood is closing temporarily for exciting renovations, emerging soon as Bar Lucy, a vibrant new dining destination described as a sexy “Neighborhood Italian” restaurant.

The ownership, Chef Henry, and General Manager Sarah will all remain at the helm, ensuring the heart and spirit of The Linwood continues. Bar Lucy promises a flavorful mix of classic red sauce dishes, modern Italian favorites, artisanal pizzas, handcrafted cocktails, and, of course, your beloved Linwood dishes.

“We are bursting with passion and enthusiasm for this new project,” the team shared on social media. “The heart of The Linwood will still be alive and well at Bar Lucy.”

The Linwood's team encourages everyone to come by this week and celebrate the end of one wonderful chapter and the start of another. "Thank you so much for all the love," Chef Henry expressed in a recent Instagram video.

“We’re really fortunate and grateful to be here on Main Street in Bay Shore, and to see the diversity grow and the town change. It’s time to change with it,” General Manager Sarah added. “You’ll see some new faces, but The Linwood will live on through Bar Lucy, and we’re excited to have you.”

Stay tuned—more details and opening timelines will be announced soon.
