7-11 dishes out a $1 Million Lottery Ticket, twice
It was a life-changing visit to 7-Eleven for Ralph DeRosa from Flushing, Queens. Lottery officials announced that DeRosa won a $1 million top prize from the New York Lottery’s "$1,000,000 Holiday Cash" scratch-off game.
DeRosa purchased his winning ticket at the 7-Eleven located at 135 Route 109 in West Babylon. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time lump sum, netting $428,568 after required withholdings.
Interestingly, DeRosa wasn't the only recent winner from a South Shore 7-Eleven location. Janiah Williams of Central Islip also won $1 million from the same scratch-off game, having purchased her winning ticket at the 7-Eleven at 56 Lowell Ave. in Islip Terrace.
With these two big wins, all top prizes for the "$1,000,000 Holiday Cash" game have now been claimed. However, lower-tier winning tickets remain valid for redemption until January 13, 2026.
Congratulations to both winners!
